This is my first "blogging" site ever. I actually really don't know the meaning of the word....Blog. LOL. I think it has to do with talking a lot so I should get the hang of it pretty quickly. I am a stay at home mom to a 16 y/o daughter Ashley and a 9 y/o son Micah. Ashley is in the 10th grade at the (dreaded p word coming up) public school and I homeschool my extra-specially-gifted son. He is mostly in 1st grade but starting some 2nd. Reading is our biggest challenge so far, but we are having fun learning. We are strong Christians and believe God should be at the center of everything we do. I honestly know I wouldn't be here if it weren't for God's mercy and grace. I have a wonderful hard working husband, Andy, and we have been married 11 1/2 years. We live on the beautiful Crystal Coast of North Carolina, near Jacksonville. We moved here from Houston exactly 3 years ago and LOVE it! We came to be near his parents as they are in their 80's now and we have been missing them. Course, they are just as busy as we are and seem to stay gone most of the time. I so desire to be as active and healthy as they are at that age. I do miss my parents however. We left them in Houston. They are still young though in their 60's and very involved with their local church so they are not all alone. The plan is they are SUPPOSE to be moving here one day. That will be perfect. Then almost all of our family would be together. Well, that's it for now. I actually wrote all this once before but not sure where it all went. LOL. Maybe it's posted on someone else's site.
